We appreciate the help of volunteers in the following areas:
Hotline Advocate
As a hotline advocate, you will work directly with survivors of sexual and domestic violence, stalking, and human trafficking on our 24/7 hotline. This is a remote opportunity providing support to survivors and their loved ones over the phone.
In this role, you must:
- Commit to 1 year of service.
- Complete 35-hour advocate training.
- Commit to 24 hours of service per month (with flexible combinations.)
- Attend quarterly advocate meetings as well as one-on-one check ins with Volunteer Coordinator.
- Complete 6 hours of continuing education annually.
Thrive Ambassador
The Ambassador Program is designed to train volunteers to serve as representatives of Thrive Survivor Support Center during outreach, education, and fundraising events. Ambassadors play a vital role in advancing our prevention education programs.
Outreach, education, and fundraising is essential to the mission of Thrive Survivor Support Center because they:
- Spread the word that survivors and those who love them are not alone.
- Educate the community that domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking are community issues.
- Expand knowledge of Thrive Survivor Support Center to all members of the community including schools, law enforcement, other social services, and more.
- Provide an opportunity to speak with those who want to learn more and get involved.
- Substantially impact what Thrive Survivor Support Center can provide to survivors.
In this role, you must:
- Commit to 1 year of service.
- Complete 8-hour outreach training.
- Commit to at least 1 activity per quarter.
- Attend one-on-one check ins with Volunteer Coordinator.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Have flexible availability to accommodate weekends, evenings, and weekdays.
Thrive Survivor Support Center Leadership Council
The Thrive Survivor Support Center Leadership Council is committed to helping end intimate partner and gender-based violence by mobilizing members of their community to meaningfully contribute to the success of Thrive NH. Membership in the Leadership Council is open to individuals who support and participate in Thrive NH’s stated advocacy, fundraising, and volunteer activities.
Throughout the year, Leadership Council members are invited to elevate our efforts to end domestic and sexual violence by holding fundraisers, coordinating special volunteer activities, and hosting other relevant events.

- Community building: Thrive NH ensures its Leadership Council leads by example, playing an active role in accomplishing their mission. Each year, all members participate
in two service days and various volunteer activities. - Peer-to-peer fundraising: Thrive NH Leadership Council has launched a number of peer-to-peer campaigns, including NH Gives, Walk a Mile in Their Shoes and Giving Tuesday to attract new supporters.
- Matching gifts: Thrive NH’s Leadership Council leverages matching gifts to help reach their fundraising goals.
